I really enjoyed this webinar series. It was very informative and gave me a deeper understanding of suicide, not only about prevention, but also about the different factors that can contribute to suicide across different age groups. I also learned more about how social and cultural expectations, racial discrimination, family issues, and life… Read more

experiences can affect mental health and suicide risk. The sessions also gave me useful insights into how we can support families who have lost someone to suicide. The speakers were knowledgeable, clear, and easy to follow. I learned a lot from every session and would definitely join another MHA webinar.

A weekend well spent – I attended the Suicide Prevention Summit two day virtual event on August 24/25. It was amazing, inspiring and very informative. Some of the material was pretty challenging but all the presenters were very willing to answer questions and share resources. This was well worth my weekend. Show reply

Follow-up  · All the presenters shared their sources and resources on one or more slides at the end of the presentation. Many of those were free video or websites, book recommendations, etc.And many of the attendees shared resources in the chat. Log on was easy, worked well and tech support quickly addressed issues.

This summit highlighted different factors related to suicide, from childhood to the elderly. It included key issues such as domestic abuse and racial bias. prevention has no prejudices with race, social status, etc. I think the delivery was easy enough to follow but English is my first language so that may be an advantage. I thought the content was very relevant and applicable to current realities. I commend Mental Health Academy, and in particular Pedro and Greg for their wonderful hosting, for this opportunity and putting together this extraordinary range of experts to impart their knowledge and findings in a professional manner. This was an intense but enriching summit and I look forward to similar presentations in the future. Thank you and congratulations on coordinating and executing a successful summit! The 2026 suicide prevention summit offered by the Mental Health Academy satisfies continuing education units (CEUs) for suicide and live webinars for mental health professionals and others working in the field. The summit spanned 4-5 days and was a global event. There were 20 speakers, 5 per day, 1 hour each presentation with usually a ½ hour… Read more

break in between presentations. You could pick and choose what sessions to join at the designated time. For me in mountain time, I was able to join Wednesday/Thursday 5:00 PM – 12:30 AM, Thursday/Friday 5:00 PM - 12:30 AM and Sunday 7:00 AM - 2:00 PM. I didn’t attend the presentations on Saturday. I was able to join on my phone or computer after I registered and signed in. Registration was free or $20 in the United States if you wanted access to the presentation and notes. I received my certificate of attendance a few hours after the presentation and following my evaluation of that presentation. I found the registration process, joining the summit and receiving CEUs to be smooth, including for those who are not tech savvy. The morning of the summit, I would get a reminder email with a link to join. I found the presentations to be excellent quality. I had a number of favorites. If I had to pick one, it would be Dr. John Sommers-Flanagan and his talk on The Bad News Brain: Five Psychological Truths on Why It’s So Damn Hard to Focus on the Positive. Presenters and attendees were from all over the globe and in different time zones. Each presentation addressed suicide from different perspectives, in different age groups, settings and populations. I learned more than what I knew was possible to learn about suicide and I am better and sadder for it. I am grateful to the Mental Health Academy for offering a summit close to the time when licensed clinicians need to renew their license, on a topic that is required by licensing boards and is very relevant to the mental health condition across the globe. I am grateful that this summit was free or extremely low cost. I’m sure that encouraged many people who wouldn’t have otherwise joined to attend and benefit from the summit. Thank you Mental Health Academy, presenters, facilitators and staff working behind the scenes who dedicate time and resources to suicide prevention and educating mental health workers.

The 2026 Working with aaddictions Summit had significant technology problems that prevented me from participating in it live, which I paid for. That was very disappointing. Great content, but I had to watch it after the event was done.

WE could use more MENTAL HELP to avert SUICIDE – Despite internet glitches and repeated misinformation/terminology, such as mental "health", "symptoms" (there aren't any; psychic symbolism, but not symptoms reflecting physiological, not psychosomatic dysfunction) and non-current, under-representation of the psychosocial science that grounds mental HELP, the conference was FREE.

Somewhat disappointed – I learned a few things from the recent summit, but I was very disappointed that you gave a platform for a clinician to speak and Internal Family Systems with people who use substances who was not trained in that modality. That seems disingenuous and misleading.

I enjoyed the various speakers and how each shared their own presentation styles to bring about awareness and prevention to reduce suicide in people of all ages and cultures. The new methods being used to address cultural gaps were clear and well presented. The summit itself was intense but rewarding.

well hosted by Pedro, who kept everything organized and engaging. The technology worked flawlessly throughout, which made the entire experience seamless. The Mental Health Academy put on a fantastic four-day seminar. The presenters were highly knowledgeable, and the cost was refreshing, especially for a provider in private practice. I loved all of this information, and it was nice to have information on suicide that was different and out of the norm.
